My name is Jordan Kabulimbo, my birthday was on the twenty ninth of October in nineteen eighty seven;in Lemera DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). I did my early schooling in DRC, I went to a French school called Complexe Scolaire de Sucrerie de Kiliba. My parents are both Congolese, my father is from the Bashale Tribe and my mother from the Banyamughanga tribe. We moved to Kenya when I was eight, prior to Kenya;we were in Tanzania for about a year. Long story short, I joined an English school.
I did really good in art compared to the other subjects, my first competition that involved the whole school participation was at Immaculate Primary School and this event was sponsored by Kiwi the shoe polishing company. I was among those who won. In Ainsworth Primary School I was in a similar competition this time the event was sponsored by Big G the bubble gum company, one of the biggest price was that whichever piece that defined the message best would be painted at the front of the school by the main gate. I went to Aquinas high school in Nairobi, Kenya and South hill continuing education here in Canada prior to joining BCIT. Now I am in Canada, it has been almost sixteen years and art is still a part of my everyday living. I did an Automotive Technician course at BCIT and I have worked with Hilton industries ltd as a roll former operator in Abbotsford and I currently work as an assembler at Clean energy compressions (IMW industries ltd) in Chilliwack BC. Most of the time after work I find myself painting something, drawing or designing my next frame thru Ess industries ltd for a piece I did. My art name is TAR from the term TAR-MAC which means Kabulimbo in Kifulero.
